A Week in Provence – A Lifetime of Memories!

http://www.arthursellers.com/images/ofclip_image014.jpg

Hélène has had one of the fine rooms in her magnificent castle in the Lubéron open up for this year’s Tour de Provence! Do you happen to be free from September 15th to 22nd? Why not join us and twelve other adventurers for a trip of a lifetime? The Euro is low (under 1.24 to the dollar), there are great plane and train fares on offer and there will never be a better time to visit this enchanted part of the world.

Le Château de Goult, a lavishly restored 14th Century castle in the hilltop town of Goult in the Lubéron (Peter Mayle country) will be your base (no packing and unpacking once you settle into your fully modernized mediaeval chambers). From there you and the other members of your small court will enjoy day trips in a private, chauffeur-driven Mercedes mini-bus to the wondrous parts of your glorious kingdom. You’ll visit your subjects in places like the Mediterranean port of Cassis, the perched town of Les-Beaux-de-Provence and the storied of village of Gigondas.

Enjoy the colourful Provençal markets

At the end of each day, after inspecting colourful Provençal markets, Roman/Greco antiquities, olive oil mills and bustling villages, you’ll relax with a crisp local Rosé by the château’s pool. The highlights for many are the sumptuous dinners prepared by our local culinary wizard; each complemented by a selection of the finest wines from Arthur’s Cellar (no relation to him of the Round Table). Conversations flow, the days’ activities are recounted, lasting friendships are formed and the good fellowship lasts well into the night.

Here are a few comments (blush!) from last year’s court:

Visit  the majestic Calanques of Cassis
We had one of our favorite vacations with you all in Provence and our beautiful Chateau Goult. We have never been so spoiled in our lives, thanks to Hélène and team!’ Bev (Portland, Oregon)

‘Many thanks to you and Jim for organizing such a fantastic holiday for us. A lot of arranging and hard work and attention to detail, but it all came together in a wonderful experience.’ Gord (Milton, Ontario)

‘An incredibly memorable holiday that is at the top of our favourites list. We will definitely give serious thought to  another adventure with you in the future and will recommend another adventure with you in the future and will recommend it to others. We felt it was great value as well.’ Barb (New Hamburg, Ontario)

You can find out all about this adventure fit for royalty on Hélène’s O!France website. Please contact Hélène for more information and to make your last minute, impulsive resevations.

Booking for 2013 Too!

Guests are already registering for next year’s Tour de Provence scheduled for September 21 to 28. Please get in touch with Hélène to join in the festivities.

And, the Dordogne in 2013 Too!

Hélène is taking her court to new environs in 2013; to the magnificent and intriguing Dordogne region of south-western France. Details are still being worked out, but an archaeologist has already been retained to conduct visits to the ancient caves with their primitive wall paintings and to the splendid castles that abound in the area. This adventure to the land of the Périgord and Eleanor of Aquitaine will occur September 7 to 14, 2013. Once again, please chat with Hélène for more details.

We hope we can share our wonderful Provence (and the Dordogne) with you soon.

Cheers!

Jim and Hélène
