Title Meet Graham Nutter and Taste His Fine Minervois Wines at ‘The Vintage Conservatory’
Attachment
Bulletin Untitled Page
Hélène and I along with Andrew Smith and Costa Patiniotis, co-founders of ‘The Vintage Conservatory’ invite you to join us on Wednesday, November 7th for an evening of fine wine tasting and great hors d’oeuvres nibbling. The festivities will feature Graham Nutter, owner of Château Saint Jacques d’Albas who will regale us with tales of his vinous experiences as he guides us through a flight of his award winning Minervois elixir (including his stellar La Chapelle).

The doors to the Fort Knox-like ‘The Vintage Conservatory’, Toronto’s wine storage facility with a difference, will swing open at 6:00 pm with the final sips being taken about 8:00 pm. ‘The Vintage Conservatory’ is located at 100 Lombard Street, not too far from the St. Lawrence Market. There should be plenty of parking on Lombard, but the City of Toronto will want its usually share of filthy lucre. There is also a Holiday Inn parking lot just around the corner on Jarvis.

The tariff for this splendid evening is only $30 per person. Sadly, there is only room for forty guests, so please make your reservations post haste.

Château Saint Jacques d’Albas
Graham and Béatrice Nutter acquired the gorgeous vineyards tucked away in the rolling countryside near the fairytale town of Carcassonne in 2001. Along with the absolutely invaluable assistance of Marc and Martine Bonnevenc, they set about to produce a truly world class winery from what had been merely a purveyor of grapes to the local co-op. They rejuvenated the original vineyards, purchased several new parcels of land, renovated and enlarged the main, historic stone buildings (the Chapel at the left was just completed a few months ago) and created an ultra-modern wine-making facility. Within a few short years it became evident that their ambitions were being realized. The wine press including Jancis Robinson heralded the wines of Château Saint Jacques d’Albas and they began taking home gold medals from the most prestigious wine shows. Better yet, their lively, generous, food-friendly charmers passed muster with our ever discriminating wine club Members.
