Bulletin
We are delighted to bring you the highly regarded
Châteauneuf-du-Pape
from
Vignobles Mousset-Barrot
along with their terrific
Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages
. VMB is a relatively large Southern Rhône producer but for some strange reason their wines are not well-known in North America. Robert Parker and others rave about them – and for good reason.
Louis Mousset started the business in the mid-nineteen thirties and the winery is now operated by his daughter Catherine Mousset-Barrot, her husband Robert Barrot and their daughters, Amélie and Gaële. Find out all about the family’s landmark castle, their vineyards and great wines in the attached issue of ‘Selections’ and by visiting
www.vmb.fr
.
Their wines are traditionally made and represent the best attributes of wines from the Southern Rhône. They are very well-priced and represent excellent value. We are pleased to offer you two excellent examples from the superb 2005 vintage:
2005 Château de la Garde Côtes-du-Rhône Villages - $21.00/Bottle; $252.00/12-Bottle Case
(order here)
2005 Château des Fines Roches Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc (White) - $37.00/Bottle; $444.00/12-Bottle Case
(order here)
From the family’s private cellar we are pleased to offer you two ready-to-drink Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the very good 2001 vintage:
2001 Château des Fines Roches Châteauneuf-du-Pape - $37.00/Bottle; $444.00/12-Bottle Case
(order here)
2001 Cuvée Fines Roches Châteauneuf-du-Pape - $62.00/Bottle; $744.00/12-Bottle Case
(order here)
Should a case of one of these fine wines be too much, Robert Barrot has created a special red wine sampler case for Arthur’s Cellar Wine Club:
Robert Barrot’s Mixed Red Wine Sampler Case: 5 Bottles of 2005 Château de la Garde Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages; 4 Bottles of 2001 Château des Fines Roches Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and; 3 Bottles of 2001 Cuvée Fines Roches Châteauneuf-du-Pape - $444.00/12-Bottle Case
(order here)
All prices include $1.00 per bottle handling fee. We plan to take this order to the LCBO on
Wednesday, February 13, 2008.
Please pass this note on to other Châteauneuf-du-Pape aficionados who you think might be interested.
We hope you tip many a pleasurable glass over the holiday season.
Cheers,
Jim and Hélène
