A Week in Provence – A Lifetime of Memories!
In a couple of days Hélène and I will return to southern France to sample the latest vintages and to make sure everything is ready for her 2012 Tour de Provence. The Euro is low (1.30), great plane and train fares are on offer and there are still a couple of fine rooms available for you at Le Château.

The 2011 Court near Le Baux
|
Have you ever longed to be queen for a day; better yet, for a week? Have you dreamed of being king of the castle with a fairytale land as your realm? It can all come true when you join Hélène on her 2012 Tour de Provence.
Le Château de Goult, a lavishly restored 14th Century castle in the hilltop town of Goult in the Lubéron (Peter Mayle country) will be your base (no packing and unpacking once you settle into your fully modernized mediaeval chambers). From there you and the other members of your small court will enjoy day trips in a private, chauffeur-driven Mercedes mini-bus to the wondrous parts of your glorious kingdom. You’ll visit your subjects in places like the Mediterranean port of Cassis, the perched town of Les-Beaux-de-Provence and the storied of village of Gigondas.

Enjoy the colourful Provençal markets
|
At the end of each day, after inspecting colourful Provençal markets, Roman/Greco antiquities, olive oil mills and bustling villages, you’ll relax with a crisp local Rosé by the château’s pool. The highlights for many are the sumptuous dinners prepared by our local culinary wizard; each complemented by a selection of the finest wines from Arthur’s Cellar (no relation to him of the Round Table). Conversations flow, the days’ activities are recounted, lasting friendships are formed and the good fellowship lasts well into the night.
