A couple of quick updates:
1.
2004 Notturno, Barbera d’Asti, Ferro Carlo
– Feedback about our first VINTAGES listing have been extremely positive and over 2,400 bottles have been purchased since it was introduced into the LCBO network on June 23rd. However, we need to sell another 300 bottles by September 20th in order for the selection to be deemed a success in the eyes of the LCBO (vital for future listings). If you have tried it, loved it and plan to buy some more, we would be most grateful if you would do so by the 20th. If you haven’t tried it, we urge you to give it a go before the LCBO date of doom. At only $19.95, it is a real winner and we hope to be able to bring it back to VINTAGES in the future. To find which VINTAGES outlets have it, go to
www.lcbo.com
, place Notturno in the
Search
box at the upper right after you have selected your preferred language and then hit GO. When it appears on the next screen, hit the Notturno name in the middle of the page and all of the LCBO locations with bottles available will be listed. Please tell your friends, neighbours, relatives, casual acquaintances, passers-by ...
2.
2004 La Chapelle from Château Saint Jacques d’Albas
– This wonderful wine has just won a Gold Medal at a prestigious German wine competition. We have asked owner Graham Nutter to reserve a few more cases for us. Graham is going to be with us in early November to help host a fund-raising wine tasting event featuring wines from Arthur’s Cellar. While he is here we’ll ask him to host another wine and food pairing dinner in Toronto. Details to follow.
In the meantime, think Italian, drink Italian – Notturno from Ferro Carlo that is!
Many thanks and cheers (ciao too),
Jim
